IBPS Specialist Officer Recruitment 2012
Common Written Examination has been approved by each of the 19 participating Public Sector Banks and the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) with the consent of Government of India. The written examination for recruitment of Specialist Officers will be conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) tentatively on 11 March 2012.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has been authorised by Indian Banks’ Association and has received mandates to conduct these exams.

Eligibility Criteria

Prospective Candidates should ensure that they fulfil the specified eligibility criteria before applying to various Public Sector Banks for the Common Written Examination (CWE). However merely applying for CWE/ appearing for the examination does not imply that a candidate will necessarily be eligible for employment in all or any of the 19 Public Sector Banks as each Bank will stipulate its own eligibility/ qualifying criteria.

Application Fee: Fee for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex- Servicemen candidates is Rs 50 and fee for other category students is Rs 450.

Mode of Payment: Candidates can make payment via two modes mentioned below.

* Online Mode of payment of requisite fees / intimation charges OR
* Offline Mode of payment of requisite fees/ intimation charges through CBS branches of the following 6 Public Sector Banks

Candidates are required to submit the original fee payment challan along with the Call Letter at the time of written examination.

How to Apply

Candidates can apply online only from 30 December 2011 to 21 January 2012 and no other mode of application will be accepted.

Before applying online, candidates should have the following documents.

* 1. Candidates can apply online on IBPS’s website http://www.ibps.in/ from 29 December 2011.
* 2. Candidates are required to upload their photograph and signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature.
* 3. Candidates should note their Registration Number and Password for future reference.
* 4. After applying on-line, the candidate should immediately take a printout of the system generated on-line application form, ensure the particulars filled in are accurate, and retain it for future reference. They should not send this print out to the IBPS.
* 5. No acknowledgment will be given for online registration. However a Registration Number and Password will be generated and an email/ sms intimation will be sent to the candidate’s email ID/ Mobile Number specified in the online application form.
* 6. Request for change/correction in any particulars in the Application Form shall not be entertained under any circumstances AFTER THE LAST DATE FOR Editing/ Updating application details specified.

Eligibility Criteria (As on 01.12.2011)

* I.T. Officer (Scale-I) .
o Age to be between 20 – 35 Years,
o Should have completed A Graduate or Post – Degree in any Computers related trade (Computer Science/IT/Electronics and communication/Electronics and Tele-communication/Electronics and Instrumentation),
OR,
Graduate in any trade having passed DOEACC ‘B’ level.
o No Experience required.
* Agricultural Field Officer (Scale-I)
o Age to be between 20 – 35 Years,
o Should have completed A Degree in any Agricultural Trade,
o No Experience required.
* Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale – I)
o Age to be between 20 – 35 Years,
o Should have completed a post Graduate Degree in Hindi( with English as a subjects at the degree level) OR in Sanskrit( with English and Hindi as subjects at the degree level) ,
o No Experience required.
* Law Officer (Scale – I )
o Age to be between 20 – 35 Years,
o Should have completed A Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB),
o No Experience required.
* Technical Officer (Scale – I )
o Age to be between 20 – 35 Years,
o Should have completed a Bachelor Degree in Engineering (B.Tech.) or B.Pharm. ,
o No Experience required.
* HR/Personnel Officer (Scale – I )
o Age to be between 20 – 35 Years,
o Having completed Graduate and Post Graduate degree/diploma in Personnel Management or any other trade with specialization in HRD.
o No Experience required.
* Marketing Officer (Scale – I )
o Age to be between 20 – 35 Years,
o MBA in Marketing / 2 years PGDBA / PGDBM or any degree or diploma with specialization in Marketing,
o No Experience required.
* I.T. Officer (Scale – II)
o Age to be between 21 – 40 Years,
o Should have completed A Graduate or Post – Degree in any Computers related trade (Computer Science/IT/Electronics and communication/Electronics and Tele-communication/Electronics and Instrumentation),
OR,
Graduate in any trade having passed DOEACC ‘B’ level.
o Experience required – Minimum one year.
* Law Officer (Scale – II)
o Age to be between 21 – 40 Years,
o Should have completed A Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB),
o Experience required – Minimum Three Years of service in legal dept of any public sector firm,
* Age Relaxation Criteria
o For SC/ST – 5 Years,
o For OBC – 3 Years,
o For PWD – 10 Years,
o For Ex-Serviceman – 5 Years,

Written Test Pattern

The written test may be conducted online of offline which will have 200 questions for a total of 200 marks and to be done in 120 minutes. The structure
