Petrol prices cut by Rs 1.60 likely.Bharat Bandh impact: Petrol prices slashed by R 1.60

Oil marketing companies (OMCs) may slash the prices of petrol between Rs 1.50-1.60 per litre, as per news channels . However it is not clear whether the prices will be reduced from midnight tonight or in a couple of days.

The review meeting of OMCs is on in Mumbai and there is no official confirmation from them as yet.

“To my mind, there will be no revision in rates tonight,” a senior official at one of the three state-run fuel retailers said.

There is a likelihood that petrol prices may now be revised tomorrow.

Indian Oil, Hindustan Petroleum and Bharat Petroleum had over the past one week indicated of a scope of reducing rates from June 1.
After the whole nation came out on roads to protest against the Rs 7.60 price hike, the government has finally succumbed to people’s pressure and has slashed the prices of petrol by Rs 1.60.

The Transit of Venus: June 5 2012 | ELOKIM LUNAR ECLIPSE 4TH JUNE 2012

The Transit of Venus: June 5 2012 | ELOKIM LUNAR ECLIPSE 4TH JUNE 2012

Depending on the position of the observer, the exact times can vary by up to ±7 minutes. Transits of Venus occur in pairs that are eight years apart: the previously was happen in June 2004.

Venus Transits come in pairs spaced eight years apart, but the time between pairs is 122 years, then 105 years. Due to this pattern, only six Venus transits have been seen since the invention of the telescope.  The 2004 Venus Transit was the first of our latest pair. Before that, the most recent transit had been in 1882—which means no living people on Earth had seen a Venus transit when the 2004 event occurred.  Some speculate this rare Transit was one of the reasons the Mayans chose 2012 as their 26,000 year cycle end/start date

entire transit will be visible from the western Pacific Ocean, north-western North America, north-eastern Asia, Japan, eastern Australia, New Zealand, eastern Africa, Arabia and high Arctic locations including northern Scandinavia, Iceland and Greenland.[2] In North America, the beginning of the transit will be visible on 5 June until sunset. From sunrise on 6 June, the end of the transit will be visible from South Asia, the Middle East, east Africa and most of Europe. It will not be visible from most of South America or western Africa.

Venus Transit chart, June 5, 2012, 5:09 PM Pacific, Santa Barbara CA

Due to the huge size difference, no way can Venus ‘eclipse’ the Sun – we call it a Venus Transit.  In images it is a mere black dot in a sea of yellow fire as it crosses the face of the Sun!  I think of it as a voyage, pilgrimage, a rite of passage, across this magnificent space being.
venus june 5 2012 astrology
Transit of Venus on the 5th and 6th of June 2012 is a rare event, and is made even more special because of the other astrological events at this time. We only get two transits of Venus about every 250 years, and they comes in pairs at eight years apart. So the last transit of Venus was in 2004, and the next one will be in the year 2117. A transit of Venus is your normal Sun conjunct Venus we usually get, but in this case, Venus passes across the face of the Sun. You can see in the picture on the right, taken during the 2004 transit of Venus, that this planets influence on us and the earth must be intensified, just look at her being engulfed by the fire of the Sun.

LK Advani’s on BJP Sad Mood | BJP Crisis 31 may 2012 | BJP : A HUB OF HOPE

Senor BJP member LK Advani on Thursday questioned the decisions taken by the party president Nitin Gadkari.

Advani questioned the handling of the Jharkhand and Karnataka crisis.

Veteran BJP leader LK Advani on Thursday made an indirect attack on party president Nitin Gadkari for taking faulty decisions, which have further dented the right-wing party’s public image.

Expressing concerns over his party’s declining credibility, the BJP stalwart wrote in his popular blog that the saffron leadership has failed to sense the pulse of the public on various occasions and several wrong decisions taken by the apex leadership has further worsened the situation.

“The mood within the party these days is not upbeat. The results in Uttar Pradesh, the manner in which the party welcomed BSP Ministers who were removed by Mayawati ji on charges of corruption, the party’s handling of Jharkhand and Karnataka – all these events have undermined the party’s campaign against corruption,” Advani wrote.
Furthermore, Advani said that the mood within the party was not “upbeat”.

However, Advani showed support for leaders Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj.

Bharat Bandh called by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and Left parties in Bihar against the hike in petrol prices has impacted life across the state with sporadic violence reported from some areas, police said.

Hundreds of workers of the ruling Janata Dal-United (JD-U) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) forced shops and commercial establishments to close down in the state.

Protesters damaged a number of vehicles in state capital Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga to enforce the shutdown, a police official said.

A group of ruling NDA activists also ransacked the Mairwa railway station in Siwan district.

Protesters blocked railway tracks in Patna, Gaya, Darbhanga and Hajipur, disrupting train services. “The strikers have been forcibly stopping trains at various railway stations since morning,” a railway official said.
